The Lisboa EGOS Local Hub, hosted by ADVANCE/ISEG – Universidade de Lisboa, is conceived as a thematic hub directly connected to sub-theme 37, “Ocean Governance of Public and
Private Organizations to Mitigate Climate Change.” As an Atlantic capital with deep scientific, cultural, and political ties
to the ocean, Lisbon offers a unique environment to expand EGOS’s commitment to inclusivity, sustainability, and global engagement.
The hub aims to create a vibrant in-person space where scholars from Portugal, the Lusophone community, and broader European
networks can meet and deepen discussions initiated in the virtual program. Anchored in long-term collaborations among the
three sub-theme 37 convenors, the Local Hub will host dialogues that bridge organizational studies, sustainability transitions,
blue economy governance, and climate mitigation.
