The WU Department of Management organizes an EGOS Local Hub in Vienna, Austria to provide scholars in Austria and neighboring regions an opportunity to exchange ideas about their research and network in a new setting. While the usual EGOS Colloquia organize their participants in content-focused, international sub-themes, the local EGOS Hub allows for exchange and interaction among colleagues who might – despite their regional proximity – in their regular work as well as usual conference activities not ‘naturally’ cross paths.

What to expect

  • On Wednesday, the local hub will offer variety of onsite workshops, in addition to the official online program. The day will be rounded off by a social reception.

  • The official EGOS program such as the opening, sub-plenaries and sub-themes can be attended together or individually on campus.

  • Additionally, a social program (on self-pay basis) that allows for several occasions of mingling and exchange will be organized.


Schedule (outline)

  • The WU Department of Management will coordinate a workshop day on Wednesday, where also non-WU members are able to organize events and/or sessions.

  • A number of rooms can be used by the participants to jointly take part in selected sub-themes and/or the opening ceremony or sub-plenaries.

  • The Department of Management will host a social reception at its own expense and organize an additional social program, which will complement the official EGOS program and be self-funded by the participants.

The WU Department of Management is a long-standing supporter of the EGOS community and therefore happy to contribute to EGOS' vision of enhancing inclusivity and sustainability by localizing next year's conference.
