The Local Hub Tilburg will be hosted by the Department of Organization Studies at Tilburg University. This initiative represents a collective effort with other universities in the region, including Tilburg University, Eindhoven
University of Technology, and Maastricht University, to provide scholars in the nearby regions an opportunity to exchange
ideas in person, present their research, and foster inter-institutional networking in a dynamic new setting.
While the typical EGOS Colloquia group participants around specific international sub-themes, this regional hub promotes meaningful
exchange and interaction among colleagues who, despite being geographically close, may not normally encounter each other through
their regular academic activities or conferences. The Local Hub aims to harness the collective academic resources of the southern
Netherlands to foster a dynamic, collaborative community.
What to expect
- Live academic exchange on Organization Studies research and networking opportunities.
- Pre-Colloquium workshop on Wednesday, July 8 with colleagues from the south/center of the Netherlands and northern Belgium.
- Appropriately sized room for all sessions, with capacity to accommodate participants comfortably.
- Rooms will be set up with standard audio-visual equipment (e.g., projector/screen, Wi-Fi access) necessary for presentations and discussions.
- A designated common area available during operating hours for participants to network informally and engage in casual conversation.
- Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be provided during breaks.
- Opportunities for participants to engage with the local academic environment or explore easily accessible city attractions, in the spirit of dialogue and community.
- The host institution is located in an area with good public transport links (5 minute walk from train station Tilburg University) and a selection of nearby accommodation options.

The Local Hub Tilburg will run on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, offering an onsite pre-colloquium workshop followed by a livestream
of the EGOS Opening Ceremony 2026 and a drinks reception.
About the host
The Department of Organization Studies at Tilburg University is part of the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, recognized for its research program on the adaptiveness of organizations from a relational perspective that includes topics such as networks, teams/organization behavior, and strategic organization.
