43rd EGOS Colloquium, Liverpool 2027
The University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) is proud to host the EGOS Colloquium 2027, marking also the 25th anniversary of the school, and bringing the community together in one of the UK’s most vibrant and connected cities.
A globally connected host
Part of the prestigious Russell Group, the University of Liverpool is a research powerhouse with a proud civic mission. ULMS
is home to world-leading scholarship, with 240 academic staff, a thriving doctoral community, and strong international collaborations.
It lives by its mission to generate transformative knowledge that improves business and society; a vision closely aligned
with EGOS values.
Over the last two decades, ULMS has established itself as a centre for impactful research in organization studies, strategy,
and change, and has hosted major international conferences including EURAM, BAM, and OLKC. EGOS 2027 represents a natural
continuation of this commitment to intellectual exchange.
A campus at the heart of the city
The University’s city-centre campus is a five-minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street Station and within easy reach of accommodation,
restaurants, and cultural landmarks. Most of the Colloquium sessions will take place in newly refurbished lecture theatres
and seminar rooms, all equipped with state-of-the-art hybrid facilities to support both in-person and virtual attendees.
Liverpool is a compact and welcoming city. Participants will find it easy to navigate on foot, by public transport, or even
by bicycle. The campus sits in the city’s Knowledge Quarter, a hub of innovation, science, and culture – a fitting setting
for critical debates about organizations and society.
Sustainability at the forefront
Sustainability is central to the University of Liverpool’s mission. Ranked among the world’s top 50 universities in the QS
Sustainability Rankings, the university has committed to an ambitious programme of social, environmental, and economic change.
The EGOS Colloquium 2027 will reflect these commitments with:
- Hybrid participation options to reduce travel emissions
- A vegetarian, locally sourced catering policy for the Colloquium
- The expertise of the ULMS Centre for Sustainable Business, which advances research and practice on climate action and social justice.
- Careful consideration of venue selection and walkability: most Colloquium venues, hotels, and social events are within easy walking distance of the campus, eliminating the need for additional transport for the majority of attendees and further reducing the Colloquium’s carbon footprint.
Liverpool was recently voted the fourth friendliest city in the world – an ideal setting for the EGOS community to meet, debate, and celebrate together.
We look forward to welcoming you to Liverpool for the EGOS Colloquium 2027 – a Colloquium that promises stimulating scholarship, critical conversations, and a spirit of playfulness true to its theme.
